Quilt Direct is one of the largest and longest established dedicated Quilting Mail Order companies in the UK. Established in 1986 by Katherine Letherby in the delightful Stannary Town of Tavistock Devon as Moor Silks & Quilts in a beautiful and historic Mews. In 2004 Quilt Direct (mail order) was moved to Katherine & Graham's ancient farmhouse on a remote part of Dartmoor where Quilt Direct was able to grow along with the demands of internet shopping and grew so much that in 2018 Quilt Direct moved much larger premises at Pitts Cleave Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Tavistock whereby not only is the office and warehouse sitauted but also a Studio Workshop open to the public which has enabled Katherine to continue teaching her skills and passing on her knowledge.
